Hot Dipped Galvanised (HDG)

A well protected steel with uniform galvanized coating thickness and excellent mechanical properties. It is manufactured to have a long durability, strong corrosion resistance and shiny surface.

Obtained by passing cold rolled coil through a molten zinc bath, in order to coat the steel with a thin layer of zinc to provide corrosion resistance.

HDG is malleable, ductile, and has a high tensile strength making it ideal for cold forming.

HDG is of course, fully compatible with our range of coatings and colours.

As with all our substrates, we can supply you with full coil, slit coil, or cold-form the substrate according to your requirements

Coil Size

Width: 500mm - 1275mm
Gauge: 0.38mm - 1.20mm (depending on width)

Steel Grades

CoilColor supplies steel that conforms to S280 or Dx51D as standard. Other grades are available on request.
