XPro® PvF2

XPro® PvF2 is CoilColor’s® polyvinylidene fluoride (PvF2) coating with an inert fluorine modified coating based on Kynar® 500 resin - a very stable resin with very strong resistance to uV light.

It is a thin solution coating which offers:

  • Excellent colour stability
  • Good corrosion resistance
  • Very good chemical resistance
  • Surface treatment and paint: free of hexavalent chromium and heavy metals

In most temperate environments a life to first maintenance of the coating of over 20 years can be expected.

Usage

Ideal for architectural use where low-maintenance and prolonged retention of colour and appearance are prioroties.

Pre-treatment

Corrosion resistant coating to clean the surface and provide an enhanced primer bonding interface

Primer Coat

High quality primer with enhanced resistance to corrosion
Dry-film thickness (DFT): 4-6µm

Finish Coat

Polyester
DFT weather side: 25-50µm (thicker and thinner DFTs can be achieved)

Backing Coat

Polyester Grey Backer
DFT: 10-12µm
