XPro® Polyester

XPro® Polyester is CoilColor’s® range of polyesters and are popular as they offer a cost-effective coating solution.

A standard coating thickness offers moderate durability and limited flexibility. Overall performance, in terms of resistance to UV light, chemicals, and staining, are also moderate.

There are a wide variety of Polyester formulations offering different performances suited to differing uses and environments.

Usage

XPro® Standard® is used both internally and externally and offers an economical option, especially when subject to more mild environments. Different formulations behave differently and, working with our coating partners, we can supply a coating designed for your specific requirements.

Typical Coating Specification (of standard Polyesters)

Pre-treatment

Corrosion resistant coating to clean the surface and provide an enhanced primer bonding interface

Primer Coat

High quality primer with enhanced resistance to corrosion
Dry-film thickness (DFT): 4-6µm

Finish Coat

Polyester
DFT weather side: 25-50µm (thicker and thinner DFTs can be achieved)

Backing Coat

Polyester Grey Backer
DFT: 10-12µm
